Another great stay at the Noosa Pacific resort.
Have recently returned from another wonderful stay at the Noosa Pacific resort. As always we were warmly welcomed by all the friendly staff. We do go there a few times every year & are never disappointed. Definitely in our opinion one of the best Hotel resorts in Australia.

Horrified by the Filth of the Sofitel Noosa - 1 Star at best - you will be bitterly disappointed if you book & stay here
Myself and my partner were horrified by Noosa Sofitels whole experience.
From the moment we saw the scruffy, old sign, the filthy footpath full of bird poo, to the carpets that stunk of mould and damp, they were ripped and covered in dirt, stains and hadn’t been hoovered in months. The lifts were dirty and the mirrors were damaged. Our room was no better - stains on the carpet, the chairs and sofa, crumbs on the floor, the bed was frayed and dirty, the room smelt of damp, now onto the bathroom - the spa bath must be 50 years old, it was dirty and had hair stuck in the jets and you’d be lucky to get a child in the smallest spa never mind an adult or two! the shower was full of black mould, caulking coming off and the toilet seat was that old it couldn’t be cleaned - the hotel is a 1 star at best - we checked out within 5 minutes of checking in it was that bad!!! The receptionist said that renovation works were happening- but they still wanted to charge top dollar - we booked into accommodation down the road for half the price and it was so much superior than Sofitel Noosa - I’m sorry I have nothing positive to add to this experience or review - we left very upset and disappointed to say the least. Photos speak for themselves!

False advertising
Advertised happy hour cocktails($12) Tried to order second cocktail..was told they had run out of what I wanted so had to order a different cocktail ($24) Ten minutes later my friend comes back to the table with the cocktail I was told I couldn't have..they had the ingredients but just didn't want to make it because they had run out of the easy option. False advertising and certainly not 5 star service. Disappointing

Perfect location & Vibe
Great hotel! Cute lobby, friendly staff. Wonderfully chilled glass of welcome champagne pool looks cute with a European vibe. ( did not actually go into the pool as it was raining the entire time ). It is an older hotel much like all of Noosa, but nicely kept. Lake view rooms have a beautiful view. There is complimentary self laundry on the 4th floor, you can purchase detergent at front desk. The location is perfect. Interestingly the only “issue” I had was with the pillows. The pillows are down & feather filled which sounds amazing …. However, not in humidity. With the humidity, the pillows smell awful actually. Initially I thought it was sewage & an issue with the toilet or drains. Then I realized it’s the pillows!

Sofitel = breakfast
Located in the middle of Hastings Street, you cannot find a better location. Parking in Noosa is often near-impossible, but for $ 25 per night you can park in the basement. We had booked online, so check-in was fast and friendly - with a nice glass of bubbles as welcome drink.
Our pool-view room 505 was enormous, with separate lounge, small coffee table and balcony. Bathroom is generous size, fully tiled, with both spa-bath and walk-in shower ; the usual pump bottles are Balmain quality.
Breakfast at Sofitel is always a highlight and Noosa is no exception ; not a huge buffet, but it has everything you'd want and is super delicious.
Sofitel Noosa is not cheap, but allow yourself a treat - you won't be disappointed !
