Great breakfast and luxury shines
Very nice hotel, great staff and great location. There are guards outside the hotel with guard dog, even the very nice ones.
Lapu lapu is quiet, there is not too much though but a few different restaurants outside the hotel to choose from, otherwise you can walk 2 km into the city and there is more to choose from. The hotel rooms were nice and spacious, however, it became humid in the room if you put on 24 degrees, we would have a maximum of 20 to it would not be damp which made it a bit cold in the room ..
The room was soundproof but some few sounds were heard incredibly loud through the walls. We stayed on the 17th floor with great views
The beach was very nice and it was nice to snorkel in the small place that was available to swim.
The hotel food and drinks were quite expensive, there was a lack of pool bar and happy hour, which had raised the experience for us!
The breakfast was amazing though, incredible coffee and a lot to choose from!
Be careful if you book diving and do it in real places, we felt cheated by the nice vendors on the street. Parasailing went well but would check the dive properly first.
Last but not least, the gym was big and very nice and it's chocolate hour 15-16, wonderful!
Despite some pieces that could be improved, our experience was 5 out of 5!

What an underwhelming experience staying at Movenpick Mactan. I had two reasons for booking at Movenpick after reviewing their website. I am a member of the loyalty program that Movenpick is associated. It wasn't until after I booked that I found out that the ACCOR Live Limitless loyalty program did not apply to this particular Movenpick hotel.
My wife and I were celebrating our birthdays as well as wedding anniversary so when I saw the Ibiza facility on the website we were excited that this would be a celebration/vacation to remember. We soon found out after arrival that the Ibiza precinct had been damaged in a typhoon 3 YEARS AGO (2021) and had not reopened. I questioned an executive about the possible misleading information on the website and was told that it takes about 1 year to remove it from the website (really????) and another year to have it uploaded again so it was left there offering an experience that wasn't there.
The breakfast buffet was very good and the staff at all outlets were friendly helpful and very courteous.
The same cannot be said of the snacks (spring rolls) near the pool that were served overcooked. The club sandwiches were delicious.
Our anniversary dinner Crispy Pata and Pochero were bland and not up to what we would expect from a five star hotel kitchen.
It was an underwhelming experience.
If you want filipino food then walk to the entrance and diagonally opposite is the Morning Glory restaurant which we visited and enjoyed a delicious array of filipino cuisine.

Fantastic hospitality
Great service! They all went above and beyond. Everyone was so polite, helpful, and accommodating. I will definitely come back here the next time I visit Mactan Island. Amazing customer service. I give this hotel a five out of five. I absolutely recommend.
