Superb hospitality, good vibe for winter sports
-the hotel was chosen due to its marketing for skiing/snowboarding.
-Its a 5-8mins drive (or taxi ride) from the JR station.
-the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
-The Superior room I stayed in was spacious.
- The facilities of the spa are very similar to what I experienced in europe, having a warm jacuzzi, sauna, lying down hot tub, a walking pool of body temperature, and a cold water pool.
- the waxing station is a highlight for skiers/snowboarders. There is a heated iron and all kinds of waxes. It's particularly attractive as I could not find waxing shops in the town (some ski resorts did provide waxing service).
- There is ski rental in the hotel but mostly powder skis (ski rental was found from an upstairs shop cum guest house within 5-8 mins walking distance).
- The hotel promoted free shuttle buses to 4 ski resorts. In fact the buses are local buses, while the hotel provided coupons to guests who had made reservations. So these buses were not direct buses between the hotel and ski resorts. So in fact thats was not what i expected from the marketing material. That said, the travelling time was a bit long but it did post in writing and we thought the travelling time was acceptable.
-I have not tried the meals, but my friends who booked the breakfast package said the breakfast was very good.
- About room cleaning, garbage would be taken away and new towels provided every day, but tidying would be done on Day 4 and Day 7.
- The staff were super helpful. Due to some misunderstanding I had not picked up my skis in the hotel. I only discovered the problem when I arrived at another hotel for my second part of the journey. They then very kindly helped to dispatch the skis via courier. During the course they had communicated with me over the phone (i am not a local and we talked in english) and by email. When I tried to thank them by writing to their management, the staff refused politely saying they were happy to offer help.

Modern and well located hotel
Great modern hotel. Well located near the centre of town and convenient to a number of ski resorts. The room was really well set out and spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The public bath / sauna complex was excellent. The waxing area was fantastic and having all the different waxes provided for free was a great touch and much appreciated. Some drinks and sparkling wine were also provided for free of an evening which was nice.
Parking was easy behind the hotel, and reasonably priced, just had to move your car once every 24hr period which was sometimes inconvenient but not a big deal.
Enjoyed the city as well, though found it hard to find places to let us in to eat and drink sometimes. The places that were happy to have our group of 4 were all good though, just took some work to find.
Breakfast was good. Would have enjoyed a couple more western options like some toast or bread but overall it was very nice.
Would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend it to others.

Omo Specialty Hotels in Shikoku
This is the only Omo7 in Hokkaido, the first hotel in the Omo category, with free access to all major ski resorts. Come and open the box withOMO7 Asukawa!
Think five o'clock fast reading:
1. The newly renovated hall is beautiful
2. Stay with a variety of free drinks (including alcohol)
3. Many places in the hotel rarely see the shadow of the original hotel
4. Large bath size is amazing, but not completely renovated
5. It takes thirteen minutes to walk from the station.

2. The number of guests is not many, the speed of accommodation is fast
3. You can book free shuttle to the zoo and various ski resorts

3. Window view can be seen in the remote snow mountain is beautiful
4. The TV is very small and smaller than the computer screen

In the evening there is Happy Hour, special and bubble wine are unlimited

In order to stay in hotels across the OOMO system, we arranged a trip to Shikoku, a boring city, the majority of which also serves as a transportation station.
During the night, there are not many entertainment activities in the city can be carried out, butOMO7 is a relatively high level of facilities, in-house soap, stroll around and take photos are also busy.
However, if you are not going to ski around Ashokawa, nor do you have a passion for theomo system, this is a hotel that does not need to come specifically.
If you're staying here, you can take advantage of the hotel's free shuttle service, which offers access to Asukawa Zoo or the major ski resorts. But I'm so upset why no station connection is XD

The hotel facilities are really old and the services are unacceptable. The actual condition of the room is different from the photos shown in the trip.com. I have to park my car in the hourly car park quite far away and the tickets machine was out of function, it’s misleading to say the hotel has its own parking in the trip.com.
I am very disappointed to choose this hotel which is not worthy. It is strongly recommended not to choose this hotel with this budget.
