Kind and warm hospitality in UB.
The front office, Mr. Baynsaa, helped us very kindly and adequately. All our concerns were solved well such as:
- Best suggestion how to go to the airport very early morning.
- They prepared hot sandwich, fruit, cokkie and water for our breakfast.
- How we can go and back to the UB central to find souvanior.
We felt to recieve very warm and friendly hospitality in the first stay in UB.

Nice hotel set in a strategic area. Rooms were too hot, so it was hard to sleep.

A great option when quality, location and cost come into play.
We had a fantastic couple of weeks in Ulaanbaatar and chose the Ibis Styles Polaris on the recommendation of our daughter-in-law, a local.
It is located on the airport side of the city so you can avoid the last hour of traffic congestion should you choose to be based in the central business district.
We asked for a room with a view of the countryside but were upgraded to a suite which was on the north western corner and had both views across the valley that took in the city and views of the green hills.
Our daughter also stayed at the Ibis and was also upgraded to a suite on the southern side with great views of the surrounding green hills.
If you miss out on the views and opt for the breakfast inclusion, there are both excellent views and a great buffet breakfast selection.
All of our encounters with Ibis personnel were hassle free. From the reception to dining and cleaning personnel, they were always helpful and genuinely pleasant to talk to. Language differences were not an issue.
We were visiting for our son's wedding and we had the bride and groom book in to celebrate with us.
And to top off a perfect stay, the staff arranged a surprise birthday cake for my wife, whose birthday was during the stay.
Top marks all round Ibis.

A hotel you recommend to someone you don't like.
The room is neat. I made a reservation and received an e-mail that an additional fee would be added only to late checkouts after 18 o'clock through prior consultation, and there was no other comment at check-in, so I checked out before 18 o'clock, but the fee was paid. When I protested to the hotel, they said that my check-out payment time was after 18 o'clock, so it was charged. They even sent me a slip. However, I checked out before 18 o'clock and asked the credit card company to resolve the dispute and got a refund. I can't recommend hotels that even manipulate payment time and avoid mistakes.

Probably one of the best hotel in UB and great value for money. Rooms are very spacious, clean, modern designed and cosy. Breakfast was great with lots of choice. The food street is just nearby like 3mins walk and the Winter Palace is also located on the same street reachable by like 20 mins walk. The hotel located in a rather wealthy district of UB that it felt very safe even walking on the nearby street at night. It not far from the airport too that won't be affected by the traffic jam in UB city center.
