Wonderful Stay!

We had such an incredible stay! Ishmail at the Front Desk, Cameron at 1874, and David in Hook & Ladder provided such personalized and friendly service! They were so welcoming and made us feel like we were at our home away from home.
The food and drinks in Hook & Ladder were also incredible! We enjoyed the grilled octopus, the spicy tuna bites, the famous Fireman Burger and braised beef ribs - 100/10! Highly recommend the Lavender Haze cocktail and the Smoked Old Fashioned for drinks!
I can’t recommend this hotel enough! Thank you for everything!!

Front Desk Personnel

Want to give a shout out to L A Wood and Tayetta Dawson!
L A went out of their way to be personable and helpful.
Tayetta was also lovely to work with.
Loved the hotel- except shower pressure in room 420 wasn't great. Otherwise it was a fantastic stay!

Pretty hotel, needs some simple improvements

Pretty and cool hotel, great bar downstairs with outdoor patio, and the restaurant was excellent. Nice area to walk around. Just a few disappointing things. The rooms were pretty small and only 2 towels in the bathroom. For $320+ a night, I would expect more. Would it really put them out to add a few more? I got out of the shower to discover no more towels... It really is the little things. The downstairs coffee pot in the lobby was $10 for 2 cups of coffee. Seriously? That is ridiculous. Should be provided to guests. There was no closet or safe in the room. I was okay with that but if I were staying longer than a night, it would be annoying to have your stuff strewn about the room on full display. There is a parking garage nearby but the signs in the garage need to be clearer.

Love this hotel and have stayed here probably 4 or 5 times in the last 12 months. This time I was given a room on the ground floor. It was a cluster of four rooms that were past the banquets area. My room overlooked the very busy intersection. The front desk was not very polite when I asked to switch rooms. I could hear the radios of the cars stopped at the traffic lights all night long and motorists all night long. Awful.

Nice, clean, and functional. It was in and out. Interesting little neighborhood with lots of food options. Front desk experience was underwhelming at best.
