Wonderful Experience!!!
Hesitant at first because of the reviews but glad we decided to book with our stay. Check in process was smooth and received a friendly and warm welcome from Carlos Hernandez. He answered all our questions and was very helpful. The room on the 7th floor was beautiful, modern, spacious and clean + had an amazing view! Pleasantly surprised that this old hotel is updated and very well maintained. Hotel had amenities like food, services, restaurants, pool, free shuttle service and more! Free shuttle service is available from Miami airport and from the hotel. All you have to do is be in the designated spot, wait for it to arrive and they pick you up - they came every 15 minutes. Cane Fire Grill (onsite restaurant) had delicious food and good staff service. MIA Pantry's (onsite convenience store) had everything you will need! Super glad we decided to spend the night with Miami Airport Marriott hotel! Highly recommend this hotel!

Better Training On Customer Service In Stressful Situations
I have stayed at this hotel multiple times while visiting Miami. The hotel is beautiful, the beds are comfy, and the customer service has always been top-notch. Even this trip, the customer service during check-in was outstanding. But Friday night of April 18th was different. Two young ladies, one African American and one Hispanic, were working at the front desk. I arrived at the hotel and wanted snacks and drinks for the night. Well, 3 people were waiting behind the two people at the service desk. One waiting said he had been waiting to pay for snacks, too. The lady standing by the AA woman was having some issues with getting checked in, so she was calling people on the phone, trying to fix whatever the problem was, understandable. I asked if we could just pay for our snacks, since it may take even longer, since the woman was not seemingly making progress. Very rudely, the AA attendant says, “No, you have to wait like everybody else.” The other guy says Well, can you write down what we have and charge our room and the Hispanic woman says, “No. We have to scan them, so like she said, you have to wait.” I said I’m sure that’s not the Bonvoy way and decided to return the snacks and leave at that point because it’s not what you say, it’s how you say it. I understand they were busy and probably were frustrated, but there was no reason to be rude. I’m sure looking at me, they had no idea I was a Titanium Elite Member and had stayed at Marriott hundreds of times over the past 15 years, and I didn’t say because honestly, it shouldn’t matter. No matter what a customer looks like or their status, they should be treated and even told no with respect. Thank you… Doctor T

The hotel overall was great. Nice to have that quality so close to the airport. The restaurant was fantastic. So was the staff. The shower water was quickly warm with good pressure. The room was clean and well laid out. The bed was not comfortable, especially the pillows. BYOP ;)

Not credited my points
I’ve stayed at this proper over a dozen times in the past 2 years while traveling for business. Once the ceiling of the shower collapsed, I was given another room and told I’d be credited 5,000 points. I called numerous times over a week requesting them from the manager. Two other times, (3/15-6/25) I wasn’t credited the 1,000 welcome points as a Platinum Elite member. I called and spoke with Tavita on 3/26 and was told she’d have Dorian credit them and call me back. I followed up on 4/2 spoke with Brenda and was told Esmilin or Karen will callback. Called and provided my info two more times and still no callback to this day. It’s a hassle and inconvenience to receive what I’m untitled to so I won’t be staying here. They had a terrible attitude when I called to follow, it’s bad customer service.
