Nice time
This is the third year in a row I stayed here in March. The area is going down hill. The pet areas were closed off and I had to use the vacant lot to take the dog out at 2 am and there's always a different homeless person sleeping in the front step area by the south entrance. The parking lot reeks of pot. Very unsafe if you have pets at this hour. Carry pepper spray. Besides this this Hampton resort was nice as usual. Clean rooms and nice ocean view. Breakfast was typical Hampton and good except the imitation eggs. Just remove them and add biscuits and gravy. Also why have check in on the app if you won't give a room assignment and still have to check in? Over all It dropped from 5 stars to 4 stars with a 30 percent price increase.

They charged me $420 for one night and still gave me the wrong room.I will never stay there again and i wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Should shop around area for accommodations
Bathtub drain was clogged up when we got there. Room was somewhat small. Breakfast employees need better training as my son & service dog was initially denied entry into Breakfast. (Had to notify front desk as there is a sign stating my son's service dog had clearance of course) Outside needs to be better maintained (there was trash/debris at multiple places on property) Breakfast was good.

Ridiculous that they charge you $25 a night to park
I have gone to this hotel many times. I’ve always loved it. In fact, I tell everyone about it. But from here on, I will be looking for a new place when I want to go to the beach. Because they just started charging $25 a night to park, that's ridiculous when you are staying in the hotel.

Overall worth the stay…
When we first checked in, I was a little worried because everyone was getting refunds due to the elevators not working. Some people were on the 12th floor and having to take luggage and kids up and down etc. However, luckily we were in the South tower, on the 2nd floor and the elevators were working. The receptionist who was an employee from the other Hampton Inn (bearfoot landing) was amazing. She had people coming and yelling at her, demanding refunds etc. and she handled it well. Now, the other receptionist that was there the next day, Ian, he is extremely rude and doesn’t need to be the first person to greet you with such a nasty attitude. Anyways, We had 2 connecting rooms. The rooms were very clean. We had a king with a shower/tub as well as a walk in shower, a kitchen and small dining area. Our other room was 2 queens and a regular bathroom. Both rooms were ocean front. Beds were comfortable. No complaints there. Now, the pool area is where I had a problem. The pools were very dirty. The pools had a greasy film over it and lots of trash and debris in the pool. The only reason I didn’t make too big of a deal about it is because it was a little chilly anyways and it’s still spring so maybe they didn’t expect people to actually get in. They say they have “indoor” pools but it’s really not. It’s just a covered pool. We went down on our first night thinking the kids would get to swim in a warm, indoor heated pool. Wrong. The pool area is only covered. Imagine being in a gazebo. You’re covered but all of the sides are out. The breakfast was decent. Waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, muffins, etc. The restaurant food was decent. The parking spaces are very tight. We were driving a SUV and goodness it was a tight squeeze. Overall, our stay was good. I would come back again. I just hope they get the elevator situation fixed because that could’ve easily been me and I would’ve been upset as well, so I get why the others were angry. Other than those few things, the hotel is overall nice and worth the stay.
