Wonderful greeting at check in. Can always rely on on hampton to always offer comfort and clean.

Everyone was very friendly & helpful. The pour your own beer and wine was a great feature! Rooms are very clean & comfortable. Great experience, highly recommend.

Typical Hampton Inn style hotel
A very typical Hampton Inn hotel. The rooms are very similar to other Hampton Inn hotel rooms. Check in is easy. Warm cookies were available as well as apples. Front desk staff is friendly.
The rooms are a decent size. The windows aren’t large. There is a mini frig - no freezer, coffee maker and microwave. The elevator was a little slow. For one night the room was fine for us.

An outdated property; rooms are depressing.
Like many Hilton properties in the Coachella Valley, this is a rundown hotel which has seen too many tourists and run by a management company which, apparently, has no plans to renovate or update. And why should they? The income from the various festivals (Coachella, Modernism Week, film, etc.) provides enough profit to offset the remaining year. Since visitors to the festivals will need a room no matter its sad condition, there is no incentive to update.
Check-in: Challenging on this last visit. As a Diamond Member, I should not have to ask for the bottled water but that’s a training issue. Nonetheless, I asked for the water and the Front Desk attendant handed me 1 bottle. She seemed annoyed when I requested a second bottle. Really? ♂️ But, as I'm discovering post the pandemic, Diamond Lifetime (which I am), Gold, or Silver means nothing to the Hilton franchisees. It’s an annoyance to them more than anything else. On a long-ago visit to this property, I solved the bottled water problem in two ways: 1) I hop over to the gas station kiosk next door for water (should I forget to stop at Whole Foods or Ralphs before I reach the hotel); or 2) travel with my own reusable water bottle.
The Hampton Inn & Suites in Palm Desert is in desperate need of a make-over. The rooms are very depressing. I’ve stayed at this location several times in the last year for business and the rooms contain old, badly used furniture, dark interior colors and cheap LVP flooring, poor room layout, and furniture logistics; especially the 1-bedroom suites. The 1-bedrooms are like staying in a hovel. The bedroom portion, with the TV pushed to a location that is patently ridiculous, will leave you frustrated because the space is so tight and uncomfortable.
The window casing in my last room (302) was peeling and the interior windows themselves were filthy. Yuck! The desk chair (in room 302 and prior rooms) sits entirely too low (I had to use pillows to gain height) and the sofa and definitely the ottomans need replacement - no support whatsoever. The good news is that the bathroom has ventilation, although it is extremely loud. Housekeeping is fine when they do refresh the room. The bed was comfortable and there were sufficient towels upon check-in. No issues with the Internet. It was great to have a refrigerator in which to store fresh fruit.
Breakfast: Thanks for continuing the hard-boiled eggs as a breakfast option, but why I have to ask for them on various visits remains a mystery. The rest of the food is a disappointment of packaged carbohydrates including liquid eggs, sugary cereals, bread (including hard as a rock bagels), and vague, sugar-laced pastries. I passed on all of those options.
Overall, this is a motel with a bed and a shower; nothing more, nothing less. It works for those purposes even though the rooms are depressing. After this last stay in Jan 2025, I won’t be back. I can be depressed at another outdated Hilton property in the Coachella Valley.

We have to say that all staffs are friendly and nice. We like the breakfast, so good. The room is clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed the swimming pool.
