I’m only giving 4 starts because I booked a room and the balcony is not the same size as pictured. False advertising by Hotels.com It was disappointing to hear they didn’t even have a balcony that Hotels.com pictured.

Check in was not particularly friendly - just matter of fact woman asked for credit card for incidentals. No welcome, no reminder when to check out, or intro to any ammenities. She told us where to park as there is no signage on the building. Room was clean and enjoyed bathroom design & tile choices. Went to put away perishables in fridge but it was barely cool- took till the next day around checkout to obtain true refridgeration- too late for us. They would have switched our room but we were too busy after check in. Keureg coffee machine didnt work though we tried several times. Went hunting to make our own coffee with cups provided in room but the microwave was so disgustingly dirty I didnt want to use it. I mentioned it the first day to the front desk but the next morning it was still dirty- see pic. Shower and sink water were just warm, which was slightly disppointing as I wanted a hot shower. Pool and whirlpool were pretty- pool temp nice and warm, but whirlpool not wonderfully warm. Comfortable bed and pillows, TG. That is a Hilton trademark! A curious lack of signage throughout the hotel & room made us wonder about alot of things, such as how to adjust room temperature, and what was considered recyclable vs. garbage in our room.
When returning to our room around 11:30AM we found our key inoperable. We were locked out- so another walk to the front desk, no apology, recieved a working keycard. The noon checkout is wonderful but please abide by it. Other issues existed.

A Collection of Shortcomings Make for A Disappointing Stay
This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays ever for my wife and me. There is a lot that is right about this hotel but, unfortunately the positives were outweighed by the negatives. Most disappointing is the attitude of management, since a number of the problems are long standing and should have been addressed.
On the positive side, the public areas are nicely designed. The pool area has various types of seating in the shade or full sun. The bar/restaurant has very acceptable food and pleasant service. There's a small but inviting gym. The location of the hotel is just at the edge of Tucson proper and convenient to several national and state parks. There are plenty of restaurants within a ten minute drive. A Trader Joe's is just two minutes away.
Now for the negatives.
1. Our shower had a serious leakage problem that was known to management for months. I believe several rooms share this issue. A bathmat placed where you step out was thoroughly soaked.
2. The toilet paper was the thinnest and coarsest imaginable. Not appropriate for a pricey "boutique" hotel.
3. The stopper in the bathroom sink was inoperable. This is a common problem in hotels, but should have been attended to in a place at this price level.
4. Room lighting might have been the minimum allowed by law if there is such a law. What light there was is concentrated near the head of the bed. With the curtains closed, the rest of the room was in shadow.
5. Some of the USB connections for our mobile phones did not work.
6. Space for luggage contents was minimal, so much so that we left half of it in opened suitcases.
7. The desk clerk had misread our special request for "feather or feather-like pillows" as "remove feathers from room" or suchlike. He said he'd see about the pillows we requested, but we never heard back one way or the other. Actually the room pillows were pretty good.
8. The entry to the property from the rather busy road is on a curve with a nasty little unprotected fall off just where you turn in. Except for a hotel sign, there was no lighting to help getting across the short bridge from the road into the parking lot. Totally unacceptable.
Tucson offers dozens of upscale and three-star hotels. No one should have to put up with the shortcomings of this one. Do your homework and you are sure to find a better overall choice.

Beautiful hotel with friendly vibe
Beautiful hotel in a quiet area of Tucson. This hotel appears almost new, and our room was one we could have spent several days in rather than one night. Excellent room with comfortable bed, large well appointed bathroom, and a beautiful little patio outside where we wished we could have spent time but weather was cold and rainy. Gorgeous pool, all around nice friendly vibe to this place. Several nice restaurants nearby (recommend Seis Kitchen, where we had dinner), but we had a good breakfast in the dining area of the hotel. Love that they have a coffee bar where you can get free coffee when you wake up. Highly recommend this place!

A great stay
This was a great experience especially for a very picky traveler like myself. The hotel offered everything that one would expect to achieve a rating of excellence. The setting, lobby area, room size, cleanliness, bedding were all five star. Highly recommended.
