Hotel in decline: a great disappointment
Rooms: a retreat service
In the room, several elements once included have disappeared: no bathrobes or slippers, the soap bottles are almost empty, mini bar empty, no water bottle and even the ashtray has not been emptied. These details suggest that caring for clients is no longer a priority.
Facilities: a clear lack of maintenance
Although a few rooms have recently been renovated, the entire building would require much more extensive work. The spa/swimming pool area, once the strong point of the establishment, has been particularly suffering from the lack of maintenance for several years. This translates into ageing amenities and an unwelcoming space. In addition, the lack of staff in this area leads to an accumulation of towels and an obvious disorder, which severely affects the customer experience.
Breakfast: a degraded experience
Once a real asset, breakfast is now unrecognizable. It has been moved from a bright room overlooking the golf course to a dark and charming room, apparently originally designed for corporate seminars. But the most worrying remains the quality of the products offered. What made the breakfast rich and famous – variety and quality – disappeared. Today, the dishes are halved and the products are mostly industrial. For example, homemade eggs have been replaced by industrial products, as have artisan jams, smoked salmon, various breads and traditional honey, which are now absent.
Conclusion: a soulless hotel
This hotel, once warm and refined, has become cold and devoid of its former charm. At this rate, he will lose what made his reputation. A profound questioning seems necessary to restore the prestige it deserves
