Good stay in the center of Basel
Hotel is conveniently located near old town and major attractions. Check-in was a breeze. Room was clean, comfortable and of a decent size. The bathroom was clean and big enough. The view of the river was a plus. It was too cold to enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony. Breakfast was good and we got everything we wanted, cheeses in particular were excellent. Bed was good and pillows were very soft. However, without a headboard it was too flat for me. Coffee maker in the hallway was the only shortcoming, but the minor one. Overall, it was a very good stay, and I recommend this establishment.

Excellent Hotel
Excellent stay all around. The people are friendly and professional. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and situated right on the Rhine. It's within walking distance of cafes, restaurants, and the market plaza, and is very close to the river cruise docking location. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant, and both meals were fabulous.

Short break
Enjoyed a short break at the Hotel Krafft which is in a great location for exploring the city. The staff provided a warm and helpful welcome, offering us an adaptor to charge our phones ( Switzerland a bit different from EU)
We were offered an upgrade to a room with a little terrace and a fabulous bath in a large bathroom with walk in shower - but all rooms appeared large with wooden floors with rugs and slate tiled bathrooms.
The hotel uses L’Occitaine toiletries and has a stylish design with wooden floors and sweeping staircases. Large landing areas on each floor offer a range of quality teas, coffees, biscuits and fruit. There is a lounge and bar area with newspapers and a restaurant/ breakfast room with lovely views of the river. The breakfasts are well priced for the city - and the egg scrambling machine has to be seen to be believed!
A Baselcard offering free public transport and half priced museums is issued to all guests
Highly recommended and would stay here again

Friendly and accommodating staff, without exception. Large rooms, enough for our four bags. Left my credit card at reception and they quickly called me and got it to our friends for delivery to us. All very helpful. Highly recommend this WWII era yet updated hotel. And great location!

Superb Hotel on the Rhine
I had an exceptional stay at the Hotel Krafft. My single river room on the third floor was very comfortable and had a wonderful view of the Rhine. The breakfast, served in a lovely room, was remarkable for its variety and freshness. I very much appreciated the coffee machine and sparkling water tap in the common area. The hotel staff were unfailingly polite and pleasant. I would very happily return to the Hotel Krafft and stay longer, for it's an extraordinary place.
