Beautiful surroundings in the middle of nature
One of the best hotels inserted in the middle of the jungle.
The restaurant is good.
The care of garzones (especially Felipe) and reception 10/10.
I loved that it has a direct internal path to the red frog beach where we could see many red frogs.

Too bad
Dear All
We (Medels) were really looking forward to Bastimentos Island and Selina Hotel. On our arrival everything seemed to be fine, even allowed to enjoy a welcome drink, now leaving with a disappointed feeling. It started with the communal kitchen, which is properly run down, does not provide sufficient equipment for the guests you want to use. The yoga we were also looking forward to, we found that every yoga mat was dirty and smelly, there was no way to clean/disinfect you.
We had dinner once at Selina. The hummus was tasteless, the curry was bitter. The manager inquired and I gave him my feedback with no big reaction from him. Our room was also forgotten to clean the next day.
On the last day we rented SUPs for 2h. Shortly before 12:00 we were on the water and at just before 14:00 we were out again. The time for the preparation (transport and return) was charged to us retrospectively by the Israeli manager. Ordering coffee in the morning was always a queue to queue at the bar/reception/breakfast corner, as only one employee stood behind the counter although there were additional volunteers on site. However, we would like to thank the nice staff with the thread locks for his work, he tries very hard that the guests are satisfied, but we would not recommend the Selina in Bastimentos.

Great hostel, short walk to the beach and we saw lots of red frogs plus a sloth in the garden. Staff brilliant, full of good information and really helpful. Food generally nice and for panama not too expensive even though there are so few other food options. Nice bar with happy hour. They have free meditation in the morning plus some yoga classes for a small fee which are really good. An excellent choice in boco

Terrible ordeal
Lousy customer service, we felt like they didn't want us to be there. We didn't know anyone's name. For someone who is dedicated to tourism and customer service I found the effort to create a welcoming experience minimal. If you go to the beach there is no place to sit or leave your things because the available chairs are from another hotel. The food is very varied and expensive. We were never cleaned the room and the same caress of soap and toilet paper enough for 4 people. The so-called manager rents me an expensive snorkeling equipment, but there is practically no place nearby where it can be done and they do not tell you that. Nobody welcomes you when you arrive just go and get your key. The communal kitchen was the most cost effective option however it lacks much hygiene and we used some tomatoes what we had bought. The pool looks terrible and always looks dirty, in short it is not what I expected and we do not use it for the same. The path to the beach is super neglected. And I could keep putting in details but I'd rather leave it at that.

Very pleasant stay
The boxes are very good but you have to ask for cleaning…
It’s a shame that our stay ended due to an organizational problem with the Bar Hotel payment.
This could be reported at reception upon arrival, whether these are two different payments. This made us lose an hour and miss our boat to reach the airport. But it was arranged and credited back to my credit card after a discussion.
Pleasant staff but can be a problem in the morning for the breakfast service. But for the setting we would give it a 9/10 even if you have to walk 10 minutes in the middle of the jungle to get to the beach. We were allowed to be accompanied by little monkeys.
