Perfect location. Our first time experiencing Nelson and it is central to walk around and explore the quaint dynamic downtown area. Room was very quiet, clean and all staff very friendly. What a beautiful property, it has been renovated just the right amount to enjoy the history of the Hotel and convenience of feeling an experience rather than just a normal hotel room stay but still being comfortable, private and pampered. Ashley helped guide us to the best local hot spots, shopping and best beach areas and was very welcoming to us Nelson newbies. The upper deck was a fun spot to visit with friends and our private deck on our room was perfect for a romantic wind down from a lovely much needed getaway. Well worth it and can't wait to return.

Quaint and well appointed room. Excellent bedding and towels. Very well located - just one block off the main downtown street. But no noise. In fact the room was very quiet. We had the one room with a detached bathroom but that worked out fine. Would definitely stay here again

Lovely small hotel in the heart of town. Well maintained and charming. Friendly staff. Multiple patios/decks for enjoying a bottle of wine or backgammon game in the summer. Only downside was a lot of stairs to get into the hotel, but there is a back entrance with fewer stairs once you check in.

Nice quaint and quiet place located well in Nelson. Our room was slightly small but that’s our fault when booking.

We have stayed at the Cloudside before. We appreciate the special care of the staff. The ammenities are above and beyond the usual sample size. It is like being home, actually. Parking is a bit dicey if the hotel is busy, but they make accommodations for parking within walking distance. The property is just a couple blocks from Baker St. and eateries.
