The Berber Duchess Riad is a real gem! Memorable accommodation and wonderful hosts.

The Berber Duchess Riad is a real gem! We got exactly what we wanted from our accommodation. A warm and friendly welcome and a riad run by local people who go the extra mile to ensure that their guests are treated in a personal and attentive way. Before arrival they offered to organise a taxi plus local guide to get us into the medina and through the mesmerising streets and alleyways; it was perfect to have this sorted so that our holiday started in a relaxing way. On arrival we were offered mint tea and given time to just chill in the beautiful central courtyard. Our room gave us everything that we needed. A very comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and internet access. Air-conditioning during this exceptionally hot summer was also very much appreciated. The beautiful plunge pool in the central courtyard was just what I needed after a hot day and we used it every day.
The breakfasts were freshly made and varied; we both really looked forward to these every morning. One evening we also had an evening meal which we ate on the rooftop. Not only was the food absolutely perfect but the setting was atmospheric and absolutely ideal.
I cannot praise Achraf, Bouchra, Jamila and Zuhair enough; they are all a real credit to owner Nicky.

A special home away from home

Everything about Berber Duchess was fantastic, but if I could give service more than 5 stars, I would. The location is great-just off the spice market and another minute or two from the big square. Breakfast each morning was delicious and different every day. I had dinner (again, delicious!! Bouchra is a fantastic cook!) On the rooftop watching the sunset. Jamila has the place tidy and neat. Nicky, the owner, is very accommodating and easy to communicate with. And Achraf was a superstar. He arranged transportation for me, made sure I had everything I needed, helped me understand things, made me mint tea every day, and was simply a joy to be around.
The room and shared space are really lovely and special. The rooftop and terrace is awesome. I will be back!!

Amazing!!!

Do yourself a favour! I can’t believe I am the first to review this amazing Riad in the heart of Marrakech. There are many reviews on other places platforms and they agree with me.
Don’t be fooled by the maze of alleyways to get to this place it is totally worth the oasis behind the door. Only hosting a maximum of 10 guests it feel like home with a classy vibe.
From check in to check out the staff are incredible - Mohammed was a fantastic host. They helped us with our washing, breakfast was fresh and delicious and the rooms are gorgeous.
The roof top area is also a great place to relax as is the small pool on the bottom floor and the dining area and lounge.
Mohammed also met our car down the street to help us navigate the Medina streets which was helpful!

Tranquil

Stunning oasis of tranquility. Very comfortable, cool bedroom. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Delicious and plentiful breakfast served on the shady roof terrace.
