Our Favourite Stay in Mauritius
We absolutely loved our stay at CocoNuts and truly missed it during the remaining two weeks of our trip. We received a warm welcome and plenty of helpful information on arrival. Villa Cocofesse was charming, cozy, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The laundry service was excellent and greatly appreciated.
The location is fantastic - offering a beautiful, secluded beach and peaceful gardens, while still being within walking distance of the shops and restaurants in Grand Baie. One of the most delightful surprises was Prince the cat, who loved napping on our terrace and could never get enough pets and scratches.
If we return to Mauritius, CocoNuts will be our first choice!
The location is fantastic - offering a beautiful, secluded beach and peaceful gardens, while still being within walking distance of the shops and restaurants in Grand Baie. One of the most delightful surprises was Prince the cat, who loved napping on our terrace and could never get enough pets and scratches.
If we return to Mauritius, CocoNuts will be our first choice!

Wonderfull stay - like paradise
We had a wonderful stay as a family at Coconuts (Coco Water) for a week. Great place very close to the beach and the beach is very private. The apartment was very well taken care of and the maids and the owner were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed every day, had great morning walks on the beach, liked the available Watersport equipment and the beautiful sunsets. The location is great, also the few other guests were very nice - everything we needed was close by and we would love to be back one day.

Beautiful lagoon with turtles and house with a mouse
The location is nice, direct access to a just beautiful lagoon. I had one of the best swim ever, may turtles swim there as well. I stayed at CocoWater, the property itself is a bit old. At the first day of my stay I saw a mouse at the kitchen, the owner said that is not a problem, they are everywhere. It was hard for me to totally relax and feel safe after that.

Like a fairy tale!
When you think of paradise as a European, you usually think of palm trees, ocean rushes, icing sugar beach, warmth, sun, tranquility... and dreamlike sunsets from the beach lounger - all this we found in the Coconuts Shell, where we were allowed to stay for 18 days.
And not only that: we felt like "home" here. In addition to the fact that this place is paradise and "mystical" for us, there is also the kindness and great helpfulness of the hosts Bernard and Stefanie, who always have their ear and their house next door open for their guests . You can always get filtered water in their house or go in at any time to ask something. And they are discreet with their guests Thank you both!!
The team is also "perfect" - the housewife who cleans everything meticulously every day, cleans up etc, the gardener who cleans the garden and beach with a lot of dedication etc. Merci!!
The location of the house is amazing!! Shielded from the road by a wall and the indescribably beautiful palm garden, Coconuts is located directly on one of the most beautiful bays on the island. 15 minutes walk to Grand Baie or Pereybere (also reachable by bus or Cotnractbuses or in a taxi in a few minutes), where you can find supermarkets and restaurants.
The house beach is unbeatable! Into the turquoise or blue sea you go on sand, can float for hours on the air mattress, because no high waves, no stones etc. For each apartment comfortable loungers (which even have extra feet so you can lie straight!!) and umbrellas on the beach . The coconut trees on this private beach are the most beautiful on the island!
There is only a little boat traffic with excursion boats and the water ski motorboat for guests from the LUX Hotel next door. The hotel and its guests do not disturb at all (certainly everything seeking peace) .
Just one criticism - and I have to say this - in the afternoon you sometimes hear the basses of the pool bar music. This isn't a permanent sprinkling, but it's already audible. As we heard, it's not like this all year round, but it was like this for us. But that's the only thing that can be noted as criticism.
It was a truly perfect stay in a private palm paradise we have not found anywhere else in the world!

Another tip: Take headlights or flashlights for your safety if you want to go out after sunset. The road is not without and there are hardly any sidewalks. Even from the bus station to the house, the path in the darkness is not safe.
