The pub does evening meals and has a great choice of dishes to suit all palates. Whilst booking a table is definitely recommended as the venue is very popular both locally and further afield for their dishes. I can highly recommend the Old Oak Tree, I will certainly be staying there again.
The Old Oak Tree is in the perfect location for exploring North Yorkshire.

Long weekend stay to visit family. 5 days in March 2025.
The owners Nick and Lorette were always on hand and made your stay very pleasant.
The breakfasts were really lovely and filling and the restaurant food is all home cooked and really lovely, their Sunday roasts are amazing.
We were shown their double bedroom barn extension before we left and we liked it so much we have booked a week in it this summer.
We would recommend this little gem of a place for a stay if you are visiting Thirsk area.
They also allow camper vans on site, and they have parking facilities
As well.
A well run and welcoming family run business.

Excellent 10/10
The rooms are excellent, plenty of room, comfortable bed. Bathroom clean tidy and plenty of hot water.
Dinner, large menu with specials board. The food is excellent, tasty and well presented.
Breakfast hot and is excellent.
Service here is brilliant and is a 10/10.
Definitely worth booking and will use again when passing.
