A classy establishment

A beautiful and tranquil place to spend some time in the Picos. Everything smacks of class, from the decor to the breakfasts. Luis is a charming and calming host. One point to note is that there are limited options for evening meals in the village so book ahead if you can. The one bar does delicious sandwiches up till about 10pm though if you need a backstop.

Pleasant hotel in the Picos!

Nice place to explore the Picos. Very attentive host, very nice breakfast, nice space and garden to unwind, nice room. The owner pays a lot of attention to the decoration of the hotel. Good!

Perfecto!

This hotel is an absolute gem. Luis, the owner, is friendly, helpful, and chats easily in English. The presentation of the downstairs dining room and seating area is thoughtful, charming, and immediately puts one at ease. The rooms are very comfortable, lovely decor, spacious, and simple but with everything you might want. Bathroom has a large walk in shower and beautiful stone sink. Lovely location and the views from the garden are spectacular. Food and drink was excellent. The best hotel that I have ever stayed in. Ocho, the family cat, was the icing on the cake! Whilst there, make sure you go to the Picos visitor centre which is superb and Cain, a delightful village along a very interesting road!

Everything is perfect

Everything was excellent, the place, the house, and above all their kindness is ALWAYS incredible. I had never known a place with such a high score on all the sites and I think it is even better in person. Thank you Luisja for being the way you are.

Calm in the heart of the Picos de Europa

Hotel Eigon is located in Posada de Valdeón, the heart of the Picos de Europa, a short distance from Cain where we start the spectacular Ruta del Cares, as well as other nearby excursions that Luis can advise you.
It has few rooms, with a careful rustic decoration according to the environment, no television in any area, a quiet space in which to relax with the reading of the books scattered around the hall, savoring a delicious natural infusion, in a comfortable atmosphere, or in the large garden recreating with the view of the Picos de Europa and the murmur of the river that flows next to it.
Breakfast is the best way to start your day, variety of fresh and local produce, handmade, are a real delight, as is the pecking menu they offer for dinner.
We enjoyed a charming stay, both for the comfort of the facilities, surrounding scenery and the kindness of Luis, who is a discreet and very friendly person, always willing to favor a nice memory of the passage through these lands.
