Very loud all night BUT…
This is a tricky review as there was a lot of good, but some “almost could ruin your experience” moments. Thankfully they didn’t…
We read a few other resorts required ear plugs at night due to the loud night life all night. With the location at the “other end” of the beach, we still risked some of the “bring ear plugs” reviews as they are still a top rated resort.
The porter meeting us at the dock to get to the bags and wheel them to the hotel was an unexpected bonus. The walk itself, unfortunately not very pretty and a bit smelly. The walk way had some old properties that unfortunately are filled with trash, and you get the smell of sewage along the way… I came to realize that’s just a part of the Phi Phi experience.
The hotel reception itself is lovely. The staff and service incredible. The room was adorable. Super comfortable beds, good AC, decent shower - cold, but good enough. Given the rooms are bamboo huts, there is zero noise protection from the night club across the water. They warn you the music goes from 9:30pm-2:30am, but it was in reality 4am every night. I know. I woke up at 1, 2, 3 and 4am. We were lucky to fall asleep at all the first night, but getting up to dive at 6am was still a struggle. Surprisingly (or not surprisingly), easier to get to sleep the second night probably because we were so tired from the first night, but also, with ear plugs and pillows on our heads, to may get used to it. Unfortunately, it is the reason we don’t stay longer in this hotel. We were going to stay and extra 2-3 nights after giving it a go, and decided the noise wasn’t worth it.
Amazing pool (warm). However they killed the vibe with movie night starting early. With some energy around the pool 6-7pm, we were looking forward to some cocktails until the pool closed at 8pm, but at 7, they put up a screen and put on Warerworld with Kevin Costner. Killed the mood. Pool emptied. Unfortunate!
Absolutely amazing breakfast buffet. The service, the food, the beautiful atmosphere.
In the end, we really did enjoy our stay and said it was too bad about the music, but it may just come with the territory. It’s a backpackers party island, so if you want to avoid that, we would stay on the north end of the island next time as it really is beautiful and worth visiting.

1 night on an exotic island...
Our stay at Phi Phi Coco Beach was amazing...The garden bungalow in the vegetation and coconut trees....was clean, with beautiful decoration of wood and bamboo that fits perfectly to the island environment. The location is ideal as it is located on the beach that was very quiet from boats but also within walking distance from the center and the pier. The staff was polite and the breakfast had a satisfactory variety and quality.... we also tried excellent Sushi... made in front of us.... worth a few days...

Ok this is a beautiful hotel, amazing outlook. Two things spoilt the stay.
1. The music from nearby venues goes until 2am, there isn’t anything that can be done about this by the hotel, however, pool side properties would benefit from soundproofing and better glazing. Please also be honest about this at the time of booking…
2. And this is most annoying, I’m in construction and rocked up to a sign telling me there was construction next to pool…. Not idea and I’d simply have switched hotels had I known. But the real annoyance is starting construction at 8am when you’ve only managed to drift off at 02:30….

Absolutely loved our stay!
We stayed at Phi Phi Coco Resort for three nights and absolutely loved it. The resort is beautiful, the pool was lovely, and the food was a real highlight. Both the restaurant and breakfast buffet were amazing, with plenty of great options.
The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful, particularly with taking our bags to and from the pier, which made arriving and leaving so much easier.
As mentioned in other reviews, there is some noise from a nearby bar at night, so it’s worth being aware of. However, we found that the positives of the resort far outweighed this and we were still able to mostly sleep through it.
We had such a great stay and would absolutely love to come back!
The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful, particularly with taking our bags to and from the pier, which made arriving and leaving so much easier.

Not a minute of peace
The hotel is so nice, pool area is great, breakfast is good, everything is so pretty, but you can hear everything your neighbours do, even a sneeze or when they shower, what they are talking about. There is no privacy or peace, we were stuck between loud australians who screamed at eachother all day and smoked weed a lot and italian couple who seemed to enjoy other people hearing them having sex( guy was especially loud). We were informed by the hotel before we came about the music from bars across the water but not about that you can hear if your neighbour yawns. Stuff is very helpful and nice, but they can’t really do anything about the noise from other bungalows. Food in restaurant is very mid, but the people are so nice. Oh and there is construction going on next to the pool ares, so no peace during the day or night
