Excellent 4 Night Stay
4 night stay in June 2026
Room 251: upgraded to a corner suite. Main room with half bathroom included: sofa, coffee table, large flat screen TV, desk, chair, mini-frig, safe, coffee maker, teapot. Large windows that could be opened for fresh air. Bedroom: king size bed, small table and chair, 2 nightstands, large flatscreen TV. Bathroom: 2 sink vanity, rain shower, and separate soaking tub. AC worked great in both areas of the room.
Ekaterina Stoyanova guest services had sent an email to me prior to my trip. She and the rest of the reception staff were excellent and went above and beyond for me. I realized after leaving the US that I had forgotten my drivers license, which is required for car rental. I was able to have my daughter FedEx it to the Hyatt Regency Sofia. I was emailing with Ekaterina during that time and she made sure that all the staff knew the package would be coming. They also helped me pivot and switch things around on my trip too. I had originally planned to drive to the Rila Lakes and Monastery. They found a group tour, which turned out to be a lot more fun than hiking alone. It was a lot of fun and definitely something I would recommend.
Mezzanine level: Spa facilities and indoor hydro therapy pools and multiple saunas, fitness center, and club lounge.
Lounge was big and had an outdoor covered terrace too. They have drinks and some snacks during the day. 5-7pm they serve wine/beer and appetizers.
Restaurant, coffee shop, and cigar shop at lobby level.
During my stay I tried room service, dinner in the restaurant, and breakfast each morning. The food and service were excellent. The breakfast buffet had everything and you could order à la carte items from the menu too. Truly enjoyed chatting with both of the hostesses at breakfast in the restaurant. Kicking myself for not getting their names. One grew up in Rousse Bulgaria.
Location of the hotel is literally 3 blocks from the cathedral- walking distance to all the tourist sites.
Parking: secured underground self-parking. Not sure what the cost was per night as it was waived because I stayed on an award and I’m a globalist.
I would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Good Service and Comfortable Stay
I stayed at Hyatt Sofia for one week and had a very pleasant experience. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout my stay. The room quality was excellent, offering great comfort and a relaxing atmosphere.
The breakfast selection was impressive, with a wide variety of high-quality items to choose from. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I would happily recommend this hotel to others.

You know what you get at a Hyatt.
Hyatt is always good. And so is the one in Sofia. Great location, you can walk to most places. Rooms are very comfortable even if not very big. Service is immaculate, breakfast very very good. Even the room service in the middle of the night was more than correct.
Room price was reasonable in our eyes.

Excellent room and bathroom, modern and well designed. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the buffet breakfast was of a high standard, plenty of choice. Club rooms have access to the lounge in the evenings, where they offer canapees, snacks and drinks. The location is very convenient, only a 15 minute walk into the centre, and close to several restaurants, boutique beer bars and a local store to buy water. Highly recommended.

Nice Hotel in a Great Location
We stayed at the Hyatt during a 3 night weekend visit to Sophia. The hotel is well located and very close to the Alexander Nevski Cathedral and it was c 15min walk to Vitosha Boulevard which is the main street for restaurants / shopping.
The hotel is very modern and we thought was good value for money. Sadly the Swimming pool was closed for a refurbishment during our visit and we didn't have time to use the Spa.
Our road (410) was a decent size with a large comfy bed and lovely shower - it had views to the front of the hotel but was still pretty quiet. The hotel does provide free bottled water in the room along with tea / coffee making facilities.
Breakfast was very good - there is an extensive hot / cold buffet and you can order hot dishes from the menu (the waffle fingers were excellent). The staff at breakfast were helpful but we felt that they should have been more proactive in asking if you wanted to order coffee / tea or a dish from the menu.
The rooftop bar, Scene, offers good views of the city but sadly there isn’t a huge amount to see - we also felt that the team weren’t as friendly as elsewhere in the hotel. There are chairs and tables both inside and out at Scene but the outdoor bar stools aren't very comfortable so we asked to sit (on the empty) sofas and this was at 6pm so very early but they refused as there is a minimum spend when using these ….. they remained empty for the next hour whilst we enjoyed our cocktails (which were very good) on the uncomfortable bar stools.
We did dine at Revolutionary restaurant on one evening and thought the food was really good albeit more expensive than equally good restaurants in the City. Sadly it was a Sunday and there were only two tables taken so the restaurant lacked atmosphere.
Overall an enjoyable stay at the Hyatt and we would have no hesitation in returning.
