Decent hostel

We've stayed there two nights. The location is great and comfortable. There was almost no noice at night so we could sleep and get rest. Also we got our room earlier than we've arranged (11am instead of 1pm), really nice and helpful staff.
+ working wifi
+ location
+ comfortable beds and clean sheets
+ hairdryer
+ fridge
+ showers and toilets were clean
+ cheap
- basically no kitchen to make food, so you must eat in the city or eat something, that doesn't have to be prepared
- lack of mugs and glasses and kitchenware, so nothing like in the description
- no toilet paper in one toilet for one day

I would stay elsewhere

Pros:
- checkin was smooth and easy and the guy was really nice
- room was relatively clean
- wifi worked well
- location was excellent
Cons:
- the bathrooms and showers were disgusting and were not cleaned once our 3 nights there
- the ‘kitchen’ is basically nonexistent - there is a fridge, microwave, and hot plate but no sink or dishes and no place to prepare anything
- it seems like a place people live or stay for long periods so you won’t be meeting other travellers
Overall I would definitely not stay here again. Mostly because of how gross the bathrooms are. If they were deep cleaned and kept clean maybe it would be ok.

Small mercies of a Private Room in a hostel

Stayed in a private room. This hostel does not have private toilets for ANY room. Please be mindful of the misleading small print on sites.
"Separate bathroom " means it has to be shared with occupants of 3 or 4 rooms.
Take bus 22 from the airport, get down at the Central Station and walk 10 minutes to the hostel. A 24-hour travel card purchased inside the Airport or the kiosk just outside will cover the Airport bus journey as well.

Conveniently located close to the Central Station
Will keep your luggage till a room is available
Helpful staff who will try their best to assist
Clean private rooms
Good WIFI
Cons :
You will most likely not get a room till 3pm
No private bathrooms even for private rooms

I had a good stay at Tiger Hotel

I had a good stay at Tiger Hostel, I had my own room and it was clean and comfortable. The location of Tiger Hostel was good, close to coach station, train station and the market. Walking to the Old Town was easy, within 20 mins or so depending how quick you walk. I would definitely stay at Tiger if I would visit Riga again.

Calm and chill

The tiger theme gives it a nice charm. Well located, beds are good and what I liked the most is the flexibility and reasonableness of the staff. It was no big deal staying asleep for a while longer after a typical check out time!
