Voted No 1 seaside town in Britain 2016, a great Victorian town with a huge variety of activities and places to eat. An award winning beach and Victorian Pier, Cable Cars, Trams and walks up the Great Orme.
This archetype of the British seaside holiday resort has plenty to see and do. Wander along the promenade, clamber among the pebbles on the beach, play on the arcades at the pier, or ride on the toboggans on the hillside. Llandudno beach is flanked by the beautiful architecture of numerous hotels and bed and breakfasts, where you can stay the night and wake to a sea view.
A gorgeous looking beachfront with its architecture, beach and pier. What I really liked was the Alice in Wonderland theme that was dotted around.
Llandudno is a beautiful seaside town with a strongly Victorian character Located at the narrowest part of the Creuddyn peninsula, it is almost surrounded by the Irish Sea. While the outskirts of town are home to the more commercial outlets (supermarkets, B&Q etc, multiplex cinema), the centre of Llandudno remains relatively traditional. Highlights include the extensive promenade and pier, sunsets at West Shore, the toboggan course and the Great Orme. Take a trip up this impressive headland via the Great Orme Tramway (by the King's Head pub) or the old-fashioned cable car (situated above the pier). You'll be rewarded with tremendous views over Snowdonia and towards Anglesey and it's a lovely spot for a hike.
